How we calculate

  • Price per serving of 10 grams. A small tub looks cheap. Per serving shows what you really pay.
  • Discount included. The price is what you pay at checkout, with our code already applied.

The lowest price per serving is at the top. That spot is not for sale. If you order through us, the shop pays us a commission. That doesn't change the order.

What should you look for?

  • Work it out per serving. Tubs differ in weight and in the number of scoops.
  • Check the doses. 150 to 300 mg of caffeine per scoop and at least 6 grams of L-citrulline. Beta-alanine (3 grams or more) only works if you take it every day.
  • No blends without doses. If the label does not give the amount per ingredient, you do not know what you are buying.
  • Training in the evening? Then take a caffeine-free version.

Is a cheap pre-workout any good?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Cheap becomes a problem once the doses suffer, for example less than 6 grams of L-citrulline or a blend without listed amounts. What a good pre-workout should contain: the best pre-workout.
How do you buy pre-workout at the lowest price?
Take a big tub and keep an eye on the brands’ offers. The prices above already include the current discount, so you see straight away what you really pay.
When should you take pre-workout?
About twenty to thirty minutes before training, so the caffeine peaks when you start.
With or without caffeine?
Caffeine gives the most energy and focus. If you train late, take a caffeine-free version so your sleep does not suffer.
Full explanation

The list below is live and sorted by price per serving, with discounts already included. But cheap does not mean well dosed: what works is 150 to 300 mg of caffeine per scoop (the ISSN puts it at 3 to 6 mg per kilo of body weight, source 1 below), at least 6 grams of L-citrulline for the pump and 3.2 to 6.4 grams of beta-alanine a day, which only works if you take it every day (source 2). If a pre-workout falls far short of that, it is cheap because there is little in it.

What doses should a pre-workout have at the very least?
